Brand new steakhouse in Puente Romano by Chef Dani Garcia
The Nordica team recently visited the brand-new steakhouse in town, Leña, located in the Marbella’s exclusive area of Puente Romano. Puente Romano itself has always been a Nordica favourite, from the sought-after restaurants to the lively courtyard, a new stake restaurant has really been the cherry on top.
Leña serves up an irresistible duality for its guests: the combination of Dani Garcia’s technique and his expertise for the produce is evident and outstanding. As you enter, you step into a world of dimmed lights, stunning black and golden finishes and a lively ambiance. The golden luxury bathrooms are a masterpiece in themselves and a must-see if you dine at the restaurant.
Dani Garcia’s aim is to revolutionize the grilling world. The success of Leña can be put down to the ability to combine tradition, innovation and produce in a way that only he can do. The menu is extensive and well-thought out offering a variety of dishes from all over the world. From the traditional steak tartar, to a slow smoked brisket, to charcoal-grilled young beef tomahawk steak, to shawarmas, to burgers, there is something for everybody. Although the stake menu is excellent, there was also options of fish and vegetarian dishes. Some dishes are also prepared table side which allows guests to enjoy being more involved in making the food. The drinks menu was also impressive; the wine menu was 37 pages long with an abundant amount of choice for the wine enthusiasts, and the cocktails were spectacular and brought that wow-factor.
You would think with Leña being located in the luxurious Puente Romano that the price point would be extremely high, but we found that the restaurant was value for money when you consider the high-quality food and fantastic atmosphere that the restaurant brings. The wide-ranging menu the restaurant offers works well for catering for diverse budgets.
If you are a steak-lover and are looking to try a brand-new concept in Marbella, you will not be disappointed with Leña. We recommend booking with plenty of notice as the restaurant has quickly become a favourite for many, including us at Nordica Marbella.
